Timbers - Thorns North FC 2019 Tryouts

Welcome!  We're so glad you're here and can't wait to see you on the pitch soon for what's shaping up to be TTNFC's best year ever.

Click your age group below to get directly to registration or scroll down for detailed information!

  • Please allow yourself plenty of time to complete the check-in process 15 minutes before the tryout time. Check in lines can be long. Example: If your player's tryout time begins at 5:30, they must be check-in and have received their try out number before 5:15. This will not happen if you arrive at 5:15.

  • Players must bring water, shin guards, soccer ball, and appropriate footwear.

  • Please be sure to review the TTNFC Handbook.

  • Competitive teams U12 and older will be formed based on ability.

  • Information about obtaining uniforms will be distributed after team selection is complete.

  • Please upload a current photo of our player as your register on the gotsoccer system.

Playing premier club soccer is more expensive than recreational programs. Timbers-Thorns North FC’s fees are very competitive with other local premier clubs and we offer a monthly payment plan. Below is a breakdown of the costs associated with playing soccer for Timbers-Thorns North FC.

  • 2019-2020 Club Fees:

    • Are for a full yearAugust 1, 2019 to July 31st, 2020, even if players decide to play in the fall or spring only.

    • Registration fees cover the following expenses: coach stipends, association, state, league and scheduling fees, player registration for IYSA and US Club Soccer, facility maintenance, insurance, administrative costs, referees, and field rentals.  ALSO, new this year, Club Fees includes winter indoor training fees for year-round practices (thanks to the new Indoor Center!), so this year’s registration fees include $50 (U8-U10) or $100 (U11 and up) for indoor practices that will not be included in Team Dues as they were in the past.

    • Other expenditures incurred other than those covered by the Club Fees are determined by each individual team and are the financial responsibility of the team and the players (see Team Dues).

  • Payment Options: There are two options for payment of Club Fees, Credit Card or eCheck. A payment plan in five equal payments is available. Payments will take place at the time of registration and then on the 15th of every month for the following 4 months.

  • Refunds:

    • If your player is not selected for a spot on a team, you will receive a full refund of all registration fees paid.

    • To decline a spot, you must email Jonni at by 12 pm, Monday, June 10th for a refund of fees paid.

    • No refunds are available after Monday, June 10th at 12:00 pm.

  • Team Dues: This amount is calculated by the team manager and treasurer and covers the cost of the team entering tournaments, team travel expenses, coach’s travel. This amount depends on the level and age of the and age of the team (the “Red” teams and older teams travel more and enter more expensive tournaments/events so their team dues are higher). Team dues will be discussed in detail at your first team meeting along with the payment schedule which will be spread out across the spring and fall seasons. Team Dues vary - typically under $100 for U8 teams and up to $700+ for the older teams.

  • Uniform Kits: Every even year, players are required to purchase a complete uniform kit that includes home and away jerseys, shorts, socks and training t’s; warm ups and backpacks are optional.  The uniform is the financial responsibility of the player. 2019 is not a new kit year so returning players will only purchase replacement items while new players will purchase the full kit. U8/U9 kits cost about $75; U10 and above is $200 for required items.

  • Fundraising: TTNFC has multiple fundraising events throughout the year. The revenues from these events offset club costs, provide funds for dues assistance (scholarships) and help maintain our field complex. Individual teams can offset their team dues by carrying out team fundraising. This is encouraged especially for teams that travel extensively.

  • Volunteer Hours: It is the expectation of the club that every family volunteers with a team position and HotShot tournament assignment. Unfulfilled hours will be billed back to the player’s family.
