2024-2025 TRY OUT GUIDELINES

Two competitive levels of u12-u19 play! Academy & Premier Teams

Players are placed on the team best suited for their level of play. The Academy level requires more individual and family time commitment with a longer season and more travel.

Academy and Premier teams will play in competitive leagues and events appropriate for each team. As always, all players will receive a high level of coaching-- best in the area!

Please allow yourself plenty of time to complete the check-in process at least 15 minutes before the try out time. Check in lines can be long.

Players must bring water, shin guards, soccer ball and the appropriate footwear.

Information about obtaining uniforms will be distributed after team selection is complete.

Please be prepared to upload a current photo of your player as you register on the gotsport system.

FEES AND PAYMENT
Timbers-Thorns North FC’s fees are very competitive with other local clubs. We recognize playing club soccer is more expensive than recreational programs and we offer monthly payment plans. Below is a breakdown of the costs associated with playing soccer for Timbers-Thorns North FC.

2024-2025 Club Fees:

Are for a full year- August 1, 2024 to July 31, 2025, even if players decide to play in the fall or spring only.

Registration fees cover the following expenses: coach stipends, all association and state fees, scheduling fees, all local and elite league fees - including referees and field rentals, player registration for IYSA and US Club Soccer, facility maintenance, insurance and *NEW THIS YEAR* - outdoor turf rental fees are included in player registration.

Other expenditures incurred other than those covered by the Club Fees are determined by each individual team and are the financial responsibility of the team and the players (see Team Fees).

Payment Options: Club fees can be paid by credit or debit card. A payment plan of seven equal payments is available.

Team Placement Announcements: A "TEAM INVITATION" announcing team placement, will be sent to your email address on or before Friday, May 24, 2024. To ACCEPT your spot, you will click the "ACCEPT INVITE" link and complete the club registration link, no later than 11:59am PST, SUNDAY, May 26, 2024. Players not accepting their spot by this deadline will not be placed on a team.

Team Fees: This amount is calculated by the team manager and covers the cost of the team entering tournaments, team travel expenses, coach travel. This amount depends on the level and age of the team (the Academy teams travel more and enter more expensive tournaments/events so their team fees are higher). Team fees will be discussed in detail at your first team meeting.

Uniform Kits: Every even year, players are required to purchase a complete uniform kit. The uniform is the financial responsibility of the player. 2024 is a new kit year so all players will purchase the full kit.

Fundraising: TTNFC has multiple fundraising events throughout the year. The revenues from these events offset club costs, provide funds for dues assistance (scholarships) and help maintain our field complex. Individual teams can offset their team fees by carrying out team fundraising. This is encouraged especially for teams that travel extensively.

Volunteer Hours: It is the expectation of the club that every family volunteers with a team position and HotShot tournament assignment. Unfulfilled hours will be billed back to the player’s family.
